Playing my heaviest playlist picking up the kids from Catholic school, my algorithm picked A Perfect Circle’s Judith, which is a holy-shit choice, and better than Stinkfist by Tool from yesterday.

The thing about COVID vaccines enrages me. The vaccine and boosters have been effective for me. So why are they now telling me that I don’t have the option to protect myself? It’s one thing to tell you that you don’t have to protect yourself, but don’t tell me I’m not allowed to.

It’s a little unnerving, here in the DC suburbs, to see the increase in government SUVs with blacked-out windows. Are they ICE? Probably. It’s not a comforting sight.

I’ve been spending more time in traffic lately. Some things that leap to mind as I sit in rush hour traffic:

- Why is this okay?
- Why do some people do this willingly?
- Why do employers essentially demand that people do this?

On the way to school this morning, one of my girls noted that the Black Sabbath song we were listening to had a “good vibe.” I asked her is she liked it, and she said, “I wouldn’t put it on my playlist, but I like the beat.” (This, coming from a huge Adele fan!)

This is a sad state of affairs.

Should we assume that the dragons in the new live-action How to Train Your Dragon series will be real?
