In ~20 years we will have indie video games that emulate the 'aesthetic' of low-spec hardware struggling to render high poly environments. Momentarily blurry textures, models briefly disappearing, frame drops. What we now think undesirable consequences will be considered nostalgic.

Path of Exile in Guyville
Game idea: PvPvE BR turn-based RPG. World map is divided into small sections, other players are invisible. You only have some UI element telling you that there are X number of players in your area that you can randomly encounter. ATB system to prevent stalling.
The most exciting PoE league in years and a very exciting Formula 1 season debut in the same weekend, 2026 is saved
Maybe I just need to force myself to channel this energy back into art and printmaking...
I kind of want to start painting minis, but I have zero interest in actually playing anything with them. Since building a lot of gunpla, I have found my manual dexterity to be better than I had thought, and rather fulfilling, and I want to explore adjacent hobbies I guess.
On the contrary, it makes perfect sense when you put tremendous care and effort into making intuitive and comfortable controller controls.
Yaaaas! I'm at work rn but I will be tuning in ASAP!!
hold up. is it time to reinstall apex legends
I can't help but try to understand or empathize with those in power, measuring against my understanding of humanity, and I come up empty every time. These people are so far removed from humanity and decency that it feels impossible. They are a different, evil species from our own.
The games are certainly not 1:1 comparable, but factorio is a nearly perfect game in my eyes, so it is the lens through which I view all automation games for better or worse lol
Satisfactory achieves this through the efficiency/production slug things, but I guess for me it never felt good enough idk.
The size is definitely great for immersion, but with the sheer amount of products you need in the late game, it was a big turn off for me. In factorio, you can unlock more efficient buildings and refactor your base to save space later.
My number one gripe with satisfactory is that the machines are too large. Early game planning/organization is frustrating, and even once you get the hover pack it still sucks. Also that they have articulating parts beyond the footprint of the machine so they clip into each other.
Holy, the new poe patch looks so good. I haven't been this excited for a league in a long time
A great trip hop track featuring uh... KK Slider?
