Karoline Leavitt tried to claim that "Zhao was a victim of the Biden administration’s “war on cryptocurrency.” However, Zhao pleaded guilty to money laundering. Zhao's free because he helped finance Trump's stablecoin & made the Trump family richer.

Seems like their evidence is pretty weak, which explains why the other experienced lawyers wouldn't prosecute the case.

Will we ever see the list of donors and how much they actually contributed? Given Trump's history, I doubt he will be putting in much of his own money, unless we are talking about the 230 million he plans to shake down from taxpayers.
