It is vital that we give big ai trillions of dollars and let them burn through billions of cubic feet of natural gas per day so that students are able to get a passing grade without having to learn anything

Can't imagine the youth will be too bummed about their high energy video app being banned when they can just log onto blue sky and read sentences written by elder millennials

I'm at the point where the moment I think about a paper I want it to show up in my reference manager. No looking it up, no DOIs, no plug-ins.

A striking Great Spotted Woodpecker perches on the rough bark of a pine tree, its bold black and white plumage standing out against the muted background. The bright red feathers beneath its tail add a vibrant pop of colour. Its posture exudes alertness and curiosity, perfectly capturing the essence of this iconic woodland resident.

Oooh lucky you! A Great Spotted Woodpecker just landed in your feed. 😍

Professor Tim Spector says eating these foods can prevent long Covid Nutritional scientist has said that our immune system is closely connected to our gut - and that what we eat can have a major impact on our ability to fight off viruses like Covid

Always. Be. Selling.

If these people were interested in helping people who need it, they'd advocate a lot more for public health approaches to nutrition.

Instead what they offer are bullshit apps, so-called nutraceuticals, and "functional foods" to sell to the worried well.

Conducting research has never been cheaper or faster. At this point, it's simply a choice for tenured professors to not build in oversight. Not all institutions are the same but we're talking business schools here.

Great article, but I cringed at this journalist's attempts to hound the RAs for info. Schroeder shouldnt have even mentioned them either - blaming RAs is unacceptable. The comparative pittance they receive in compensation + acknowledgements at these institutions and yet they are first line of fire.

I've recently become obsessed with Guthrie's (1935) criticism of cognitivism: "In his concern with what goes on in the rat's mind, Tolman has neglected to predict what the rat will do. So far as the theory is concerned, the rat is left buried in thought."
