A brilliant emerald green bird on a thin brown vine. The green wings are complemented by a green head ruff, red throat and long pointed bill. It has an alert black eye and looks defiant to me, but maybe I'm reading too much attitude into a little green bird.

It resembles a hummingbird, but like... 'fatter', I guess?

Here's my other new friend from Puerto Rico.

Meet the Puerto Rican Tody which has the unfortunate scientific name of 'Todus mexicanus', thanks to a mix-up of samples by a visiting ornithologist in 1830.

There's a campaign to rename it to 'Todus borinquensis', the Taรญno name for the island.

Fergus: I remembered that time I burned your toys. You didn't deserve that.

Panel 3

Fergus looks away for a moment. He wants to make sure he apologizes without making excuses for himself like his own father used to.

Fergus: I should have been a better dad to you and your sisters. I'm sorry that I was so hurtful and angry.

Panel 4

Fergus: Being someone's parent is hard. Being someone's kid shouldn't be.

Fergus and May are at the thrift store. Fergus is looking at a shelf with toys when he notices something familiar. It's a cowboy bear plush that's only $5 and missing an eye. It's leaning again a ball that's labelled "BALL 2" that's $30. It's the sequel to ball. There's also a puzzle that says "PUZZLE! 10,000 piece!" that's $3. Don't worry, there's not that many pieces. Eight are missing.

Fergus: MAY! Look at this. Augie had a toy bear just like this when was little.

Panel 2

Fergus holds up the bear to show May. He thoughts are on the childhood of his now adult son, August. They're at the popular thrift store "THRIFT 2 GO" where everything is either way 2 cheap or way 2 expensive.

Fergus: He carried it everywhere. You think he still has it?

May: Fergus, you don't remember?

Panel 3

Fergus isn't sure what she's talking about. Probably not anything too important.

Fergus: Remember what?

May: Back when your sleep got bad.

Panel 4

Fergus suddenly does remember. It's like remembering something from an awful dream.

May: You were upset with the kids. You... Uh... Burned some of their things.

"Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing" is a popular Internet meme about Luigi that started with a video uploaded by YouTube user KlydeStorm in 2009, in which Luigi wins against CPU opponents in Mario Party 2 without performing any inputs. It became so popular that Nintendo's own social media accounts and official videos referenced it.

He does nothing. How does he always win?

But will Luigi win by doing nothing?
However, the first instance of Luigi winning while doing absolutely nothing actually comes from Nintendo themselves. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Luigi wins a drama contest while playing grass, a role requiring him to lie down and be silent for the whole play. While it might at first appear that the other actors's performances were responsible for the victory, it turns out that everyone specifically liked Luigi doing absolutely nothing.

Hayzee was a producer, and he was looking for actors to go on stage with him.
The script was great, but I got really hosed, Bro... My "role"... My "part"...
...Was grass! I played grass by the side of the road! Grass, Bro! Grass!
I just sprawled out on the ground and had to be silent. Everyone but me had lines...
In the end, our musical was the talk of the town, and we won the Drama Slam.
But wow! Outside were tons of fans! MY fans! Fans of grass! They swarmed me!

"Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing" is a meme started with a fan video in 2009, which got so popular Nintendo themselves referenced it repeatedly. However, the earliest instance of Luigi winning by doing nothing actually comes from a game and predates the meme by 5 years.

Glacier the skunk is chowing down on an apple in her home at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Until 1993, Glacier would have been in Family Mustelidae with weasels & badgers.

But molecular evidence showed that her ancestors diverged 60 MYA, so she gets her own family: Mephitidae which means, roughly, "stinky."
