The GM eventually settled on Savage Worlds but with a magic system lifted from WoD Mage. For the siege scene we used OPR Age of Fantasy, which was thankfully simple enough that they were able to manage themselves after the second turn or so.
Been doing sabre for a year and a half, and am getting back to dungeon synth after five years absence. Convincing people to get into wargames has been a bit harder, but did finally managed to integrate one into an rpg campaign, that was very exciting
Also, if you follow the Dungeon Synth feed here people are regularly dropping both new music and reccs
