I love that there's even a former door that was blocked up in Roman times. It's touching to see not just ancient buildings, but their evolution across generations. Each change was a conscious act, a tangible sign of some person's thoughts & visions. A snapshot becomes a story.

I’m sure lots of Irish archaeologists will understand when I say the stand out experience of the #CelticTiger era was fulachts (niche, I know). I do have to mention Carrickmines Castle and Jackson Way too…

On 27th August, we're expanding our range of Women of WW2 minis into a whole heap of resistance fighters from different countries. Hand sculpted and hand cast in pewter.

We're also joining forces with @handiworkgames.bsky.social for some superb backdrops.

Building Worlds and Making Maps My creativity has been influenced by many things over the years, but perhaps one of the most powerful factors has been fiction that involves the creation of worlds.

I’m having another go at Substack, this time featuring more about worldbuilding & gaming as well as my other interests, kind of a long-form BlueSky, but not designed to compete with my Patreon and in the hope of getting a wider audience for my wide-ranging stuff. open.substack.com/pub/henryhyd...

It's finished. 2000 points of Blood Axes built using the army list from Rogue Trader's "ere we go". Every model is fully metal and original apart from the @ramshackle_games tanks. It has taken literally years to complete. See them at BOYL on Friday night being murdered by harlequins.

It's the only way πŸ˜‰πŸ€! I think both those Angel chapters are far more interesting than (says quietly) Ultramarines... and 5th ed! I really got back into WFB around 6th/7th when GW had the shop in Castle Court and subsequently persuaded Mrs H to collect Lizardmen!
