None of these folks yall see on Twitter/X were in the room.

Don’t confuse internet trolls with movement builders. We are not the same. The reparations movement is moving forward come hell or high water. Just like it has always done.

Most of these folks are just yapping…But are completely uninvolved in the movement. I just left a gathering of about 100 reparations activists including some getting actual cash payments for their communities through lawsuits and other initiatives.

I’m tired of ppl saying the reparations movement is dead bc of the election. The reparations movement is “centuries” long and it is not dead due to one election. The problem is, folks keep equating randoms on the internet that use #reparations hashtags with the actual movement.

Twitter/X has been dangerous for a long time but now we’re finally seeing just how wild things are going. Elon has genuinely lost his mind.

Trump and ppl like him want to harm all Black communities. He doesn’t care about our lineage or our citizenship. They are going after all of us. “ADOS, FBA, FREEDMEN ETC.” All that stuff was an illusion to distract us from unifying and growing the movement for reparative justice.

Trump saying he wants to pay reparations to white people is exactly why legitimate reparations organizations have been warning against listening to online groups that have pushed divisions and chaos among various Black communities.
