Another Killing on ICE The right wing propaganda machine can’t spin the killing of Alex Pretti

Yesterday, I awoke to news of another ICE killing in MN. On Bluesky, the conversation was deeply critical of ICE. But I wanted to see how things were going on X. Surprisingly, the attempts there to blame the victim weren't getting as much traction as I suspected. So I wrote a thing.

I know it's hard to track all the threats to democracy out there right now, but this is at the top of the list.

It got worse.

At a time of unprecedented daily scandals, this this whistleblower complaint, and the memo it reveals for the first time, breaks through for me as beyond the pale.

It's the federal government conspiring in secret to subvert the Fourth Amendment.

What Governor Pritzker is doing is right for his state, but it is vital for the Republic.

All my life I have been hearing that USians accept gunshot deaths each year for the sake of their 2nd Amendment, to allow them to protect themselves from a dangerous gov'nt. Yet now, ICE with no ID, and their faces covered take innocent people into custody, and no one fights back. What am I missing?

The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality.

I don't know how to yell any louder.
