New Policy Brief released in Kigali, Rwanda 🇷🇼

Today, at the 7th East Africa Climate Finance Director Level Meeting, the Center for Access to Climate Finance — hosted by the NDC Partnership Support Unit — released a new Policy Brief on programmatic approaches to climate finance.

Gabon’s NDC 3.0 process was led by the National Climate Council (CNC), with technical support from Climate Analytics through the NDC Partnership.

🇬🇦 Gabon has submitted its NDC 3.0, committing to reducing its #GHG emissions by 23% below BAU by 2035 with existing measures, and up to 40% with additional measures.

Benin’s Directorate General for Water (DGEau) provided project oversight, and the NDC Partnership’s in-country facilitator coordinated stakeholder engagement.

The atlas was developed with support from SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, the Embassy of the Netherlands and the NDC Partnership Support Unit.

It supports:

✅ Integrated adaptation planning across water, agriculture, energy and public health
📊 Stronger coordination between national, regional and local institutions
📍 Identification of priority zones for investment

The water atlas is a critical decision-support tool, guiding how Benin plans, coordinates and finances water resilience across sectors.
