Scoop: Meta's (formerly Facebook) Messenger app is set to be in the teen social media ban, accidentally!

Despite the government saying messaging apps will be excluded, the app won't be able to have <16 users because of the law's drafting and the way the platform works.

Deloitte's job was simply to help DEWR "bring back into proper operation" the system of mutual obligations & penalties (currently spitting out ~2 million payment suspensions a year).

This clearly backfired, because
-Deloitte couldn't provide assurance
-generated a global AI scandal

In an Australia first, I used FOI to get the AI chat logs of Australia's top national security bureaucrat.

They show how he used Microsoft Copilot to ghostwrite speeches and messages to colleagues.

This comes as the government looks to push AI use in the public service.

It's no accident that Nazis rallied in Sydney. Police waved them through β€” and now Minns wants to punish us all The existing law in NSW is more than adequate to have avoided the images of Nazis outside state parliament over the weekend.

Opinion | If there is not a legal principle that Nazis have no rights, it’s time we created it, writes Michael Bradley.

If Chris Minns stubbed his toe, he'd say the answer is more police powers.

Cops aren't the solution to racism, they're the problem.

It's already a crime to incite hatred based on race, but the cops didn't care - in fact they approved the Form 1 for the rally!

Not disagreeing with that - but we are absolutely not as beholden to MSM as we have in the past. You can see the role independent media has played in other jurisdictions. Mamdani did not have the establishment (media or pol) on board. It can be done

He was a vain, dishonest fool, too sexist and racist even for the likes of E.O. Wilson. Like many 'great' 20th-century scientists, his credulous and craven colleagues repeatedly forgave him for his shitty personality and vile opinions, all because he was associated with a much overblown 'discovery'.

QLD's puberty blocker ban saga shows how not-for-profits fail the trans community Trans advocacy not-for-profits tend to focus more on their own image than on assisting the most vulnerable members of our community.

I dove for @crikey.com.au into everything that's wrong for trans advocacy rn, and what we need to do to ensure we don't go the same path as US and UK

We need to be building community strength right now before it's too late, we can't wait for others to do it for us

Liberal strife is really about winning – but not elections One of the hardest things for people to understand with this latest Liberal Party implosion is that it’s not rational.

This has never been about common sense:
