It’s important to do the injection at the correct location, placement is key to effectiveness. That being said, it is not hard to get the placement and it really doesn’t hurt as much as you would think. I use insulin syringes the Dr. gave me to do mine.

Also taking a piss afterwards additionally helps your erection to go down. If you still have a problem, ice on the taint and or shaft of your penis will also help- just don’t get frost burn. Having an orgasm isn’t always enough to stop your erection. Mine last 2-4 hours.

If you use too much, you could end up in the emergency room with an erection that will not go down. I always keep immediate release pseudoephedrine on hand for after sex. If you get an erection that won’t go down after 2-3 hours, chew 2 or 3 of those and it helps.

I started at a dosage of 20 units, but I’ve found that 28-30 units works best for me. It’s very important to follow whatever dosage the prescriber gives you and slowly work up from there depending on the desired effectiveness.
