The Twilight Zone.
Occasional reminder that the Vimy Ridge Memorial is literally sat on Canadian soil. The French made an official state gift of it on an anniversary a while back.
Which means Canada can not only join Eurovision, but technically qualifies for EU membership.

When those improved models are there and serving a broader purpose, it makes no sense to let ours become less rather than more functional.

I’m struggling with this one: all my photos are memories!
This is a vestigial memory of Roman occupation in France.
My husband’s parents met there when they returned from WWII. He worked at the newspaper stand and she worked at the hat shop. So glad they saved the tile work for the newsstand when they renovated.
