Some corrugated cardboard layered up with PVA to seal it, and create a base for it - once chopped into shape. Base then covered in polyfilla to create a rough, textured surface. Smoothed down a bit and then glued to an mdf base Painted up!

#Warhammer #Beastmen #TheOldWorld been working on my Herdstone. Gone all home-made!

Beastmen baggage train of a cage to hold captured victims, prior to eating them.

Got my baggage train sorted for the beastmen brayherds army: a nicely ramshackle cage to imprison my luckless victims, for handy post-battle snacking. #Warhammer #Beastmen #TheOldWorld

Some printed boars, covered in spikes and horns. Printed from files bought on Titan Forge Minis

#Warhammer #Beastmen #TheOldWorld getting the chance to finally return to 3D printing, and I’ve run off two Razorgor piggies to cause mayhem. (Once their bases arrive, at any rate.)

Only one wound. They’re T4, which is good, but they have no armour beyond shields. They do a lot of damage but also die rapidly!

Very kind of you. Hopefully they will soon be doing what they do best: killing a few rivals, and getting themselves killed in droves to do it!

It’s weird, but they really do, don’t they? Would never have guessed. 🙂

Regiment of Gor beastmen for the old world.

Finished up and based a full regiment of #Beastmen Gors for #Warhammer #TheOldWorld. Think I’ve also personally improved my basing ability.

Ah, I’d missed that. Still all very cool to see - always good to get a bit of medieval chat on Bluesky!

I thought this too! Like, with all the bolts still in place, wouldn’t there have been a skull pinned inside it all, when they found it?

It is good. Like a big, angry puppy!

Pair of Forgefiends in World Eaters colours. Lots of red and brass trim, plus a nice (oddly soothing) green glow from the coils of the ectoplasmic cannons. Rather inappropriate, if you think about it…

Completed pair of Forgefiends! I enjoyed adding the green glow. Now my collection has some sorely-missed heavy firepower. #WorldEaters #40k

A pair of forgefiends being painted up and highlighted, before final assembly.

Progress, but there is A LOT of red paint on the go, here!

If I want to get my name in a rulebook, I think I’ll have to change it to ‘Movement Phase’. 🙂
Congrats @gonders.bsky.social!

A Forgefiend model getting base painted with arms and legs detached everywhere.

At the pre-painting and sub-assembly stage of a Forgefiend. Basically, this means I’ve random bits lying around all over and around my hobby desk.

Great book. I still have my hardback one from the late 80s or early 90s. 🙂

Was trying to clip some small parts off a resin model I’d 3D printed. Bits pinged off at incredible speed. Alarming stuff! I wound up clipping the others off one-handed, with the other hand up to protect my face.

Beastmen Gors closing in on a regiment of Dwarves. Close up on a massive-feeling unit I fielded of 28 Gors, in four ranks of seven My big block of Gors again. I actually need to get a bigger movement tray!

Played a bit of #Warhammer #TheOldWorld the other week. I love the horde style of the beastmen!

Eightbound being base coated. It all looks very over-detailed plus also very crude due to the lack of shades and highlights. Painful stuff!

Man, I don’t know what it is with these Eightbound, but it just feels like it’s taking an age to even get them base coated. Pressing on, but it’s hard going!

They are. I got the first edition as an electronic copy, and bitterly regretted it. I need my wargaming books to be a physical one I can flip through and stick notes into! 😃

Dragon Rampant 2nd edition rulebook

Much more of a ‘Want’ than a ‘Need’ I’ll be the first to admit, but I just fancied it!

Based on your updates, I went and looked up Triumph. Wound up getting a copy for myself. 👍

Maulerfiend

Maulerfiend!

World Eaters crammed into cover, ready to jump off. Berzerkers and a Maulerfiend are visible. A Maulerfiend and a Custodes Dreadnought face off, moments before mutually destroying each other Berzerkers, chaos spawn and a lord on juggernaut - my general - all ready to charge out. World Eaters at deployment. Berzerkers are surrounded by a maulerfiend, a demon prince, and a rhino is in the foreground. Some Jakhals follow on afterwards, on an objective marker.

I realised I hadn’t been posting about my hobby recently. Here’s some photos from my club game against Custodes, where my World Eaters actually put in a good showing! #Warhammer #40k #WorldEaters

Great to see - thank you! I’d heard of the method, but hadn’t ever seen it in practice. 🙂

Is this undercoating in pink before finishing in yellow?

Is there any way to get it, nowadays? Beyond tracking down an old second-hand copy online, I mean. Somebody must’ve scanned or uploaded it somewhere!

Unit of ten bestigor ranked up for the old world.

I have finally completed a unit of Bestigors for my Old World force. kind of a ‘test unit’ in place of a ‘test model’ #Warmongers #TheOldWorld #Beastmen
