The disinformation wars are here
How Joe Bidenβs administration caved to the right in the battle for truth.
Delighted this piece is now live on @theverge.com: I've spent months investigating how a supposed war against the "censorship-industrial complex" has been used by the US right to wage war against misinformation research β and free speech itself β across the world. Please do give it a read.

Obviously the full quote makes it clear Starmer doesn't know when the interview came out. I suspect he is one of those people who saves his Sunday Times mag for more relaxed read over the course of the week, and I respect that as a smart choice, he's a busy man

Always nice to hear from a reader!
Starmer at PMQs: βThe Leader of the Opposition saidβ¦ to The Sunday Timesβ¦ βIβve inherited a gigantic mess and Iβm cleaning it up.β She said βItβs very difficult, itβs going to take a while.β I know exactly how she feels.β

Charlotte Iversβs posh pub lunch in Notting Hill might be the best one sheβs had yet
Fat Badger, Notting Hill. Very chic, great food. One of the best new openings of the year.

Have been getting into watching films, basically from a standing start, at the age of 30. Itβs been lovely but it does mean I keep saying things like βHey did you know these guys the Coen brothers? They make really good films!β Absolute clownshow behaviour.

Just been at a bougie coffee shop and they have espresso tonic on the menu which has reminded me I used to host βespresso martini nightsβ at university where Iβd dissolve instant coffee in basics gin and add tonic water. Halcyon days.

Lower Marsh in Waterloo. Pedestrianised and clearly with very chill licensing laws. Even the greengrocer has people on tables outside drinking wine! More of this! A more fun world is possible!

Oh this is awful - Pembrokeshire Council are trying (successfully so far) to close down this wonderful restaurant I reviewed only last Sunday. If you have visited, think you might want to, or just care about good restaurants, please do write to the address they advise.
