29.11.2025 14:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm not quite sure that the series itself was completely cancelled, but my part of the project was cut out.
I still hope the series gets made.
2022 was a good year.
Pencil and charcoal on Strathmore toned paper.
I hope I get to spend a little more time with this universe and flesh it out more.
Excellent decision. That opening cinematic with Ashtar standing on the balcony is still amazing.

Rough sketch of a Valkyrie fending off a dragon with a castled landscape in the background.
Two preliminary sketches for canceled projects from earlier this year.
One was for a Netflix series on Alice Roosevelt and the other for a charity event.
Very different genres, but both wouldโve been fun to complete.
Thanks, Alec.
The first one is very unfinished for me. I shot with a model, but didnโt quite get what I needed, so the figure feels a little stiff to me. Thatโs on me for not giving better direction. It was supposed to part of the Astronomer series, but ended up as its own thing.

Two approaches for the same idea. The first is still the largest piece Iโve done and donated in 2014.
The second was for a show I had in Indianapolis in 2015.

I owe this piece a lot to any of the successes Iโve had as an illustrator. She became my first โfan-favoriteโ and landed me my first art director job when the lady that would end up hiring me bought it from a small show.

Thanks a ton, Scott. Iโm a huge Parrish fan and this was definitely inspired by he and Winsor McCay.
Itโs an old piece, but itโll remain one of my favorites forever.
Just the standard time-lapse option on my iPhone camera. I still have a 13. I have no idea what number theyโre on now.

Rendering the clockwork gears in the automaton desk definitely took the longest.
Lots of thin layers of pencil to get that shine the way I wanted it.
I didnโt plan this piece out at all. Which is very unlike me. But my friend and I talked about the idea for the shoot and wanted something โHammer-yโ and this is where I went with it.
