Let's see who they become
Seem to be a bit more character driven at the moment.

Really enjoyed working on the black paper. Made that lighting feel almost neon-like in its vibrancy.

I like this draft, but I still want to do the version I originally had in mind. Same comp, just differently executed. A less chromatic palette and probably more celestial chaos.

I’m really just going through a bunch of old Instagram reels and revisiting some stuff I had fun with.
“You now prosess Dracula’s scan lines.”
When you’ve been concussed as many times as I have, it’s usually the best option for me.
I don’t retain the words on the page as consistently as I used to and I lose a lot of the content in the re-re-reading of every third or fourth line.

Derwent lightfast pencil over watercolor base on paper.
This is just a series of layers of ochres and umbers to get the bronze look.
This was my first day of rendering after I’d finished staining my paper and putting down the initial outline.
I limited myself to 5 colors for the entire piece.
The pencil layers are very light so each color will show through the next. Only the darkest areas were done with a heavier hand.
I’d originally planned to do this in grayscale, but the more I worked on studies, this warmer, bronze approach felt more appropriate and honestly more fun.
God, that’s such gorgeous pencil work.
Thank you, Nym!

I clip of me working on The Thin Man from last year.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to finish this piece. It’s been on hold for about a year now. Pencils I needed were on back order forever and I still haven’t gotten the rest of the composition figured out.
Even unfinished, I really love what I’ve got so far.
