I’ve been briefed on the house fire in Taunton. State Police and fire officials are on-scene, and we’re asking residents to avoid the area so our teams can investigate.

I’m keeping those hurt in the explosion, their loved ones, and their neighbors in my prayers.

In his State of the Union, Trump told Americans not to believe what they’re seeing and feeling — higher prices, cuts to health care and food support, dangerous ICE tactics.

Whatever’s happening in Washington, my focus in Massachusetts is simple: lower costs and deliver on what matters to you.

President Trump says he’s “solved” affordability.

Tell that to families paying more at the grocery store. More for housing. More for energy. More for health care.

If it doesn’t feel solved, that’s because it’s not. Trump is making it worse.

With record-breaking snowfall across Massachusetts, getting through this storm took a true team effort — and digging out will too.

And as always, Team Massachusetts is stepping up, looking out for one another, and getting it done.

Let’s give them the space they need to get the job done safely and quickly.

Pay attention to local restrictions and parking bans, and drive carefully if you do need to travel.

Crews are out in force clearing snow, and utilities are working around the clock to restore power.

I’m heading down the Cape to check in on storm recovery efforts and support our local teams on the ground.

While I’m lifting the travel ban for Southeastern Massachusetts, I’m still urging everyone to stay home and off the roads if you can.

While most of us stayed inside, you were out there in the wind and snow, keeping everyone safe.

On behalf of the people of Massachusetts, thank you for showing up and getting it done.

As we start to shovel out, I want to thank the plow drivers and public works crews working nonstop to get Massachusetts moving.

A huge thank you to our first responders who answered every call, and the health care workers who worked extra hours to take care of others.

While the travel ban only applies to motor vehicle travel in Bristol, Plymouth, and Barnstable counties, I strongly urge everyone to stay off the roads no matter where you live.

For your safety, and for the safety of our plow drivers and first responders: stay home.

STORM UPDATE: I'm issuing a travel ban on all non-essential driving in Southeastern Massachusetts — and reducing the speed limit on the Pike to 40mph.

Whiteout conditions are making travel extremely dangerous. If you get stuck, help will have a hard time reaching you.

We’ll be providing updates and the storm progresses, but in the meantime, visit Mass.gov/Snow for more safety tips.
