Hahaha. It’s a great series and stick with it though I will warn you it’s gone longer than trilogy so the three books that are out don’t finish it
Characters. I need good characters, be they sweet or snarky they need to be three dimensional characters. All these have the characters on an arc of an adventure that moves the story and the characters development. Tropes are fine but must be cleverly done or inverted or I close the book.
Ilona Andrews, Sarah Maas, Hailey Turner are on my lists of re-reads fantasy with a major romance arch. Arguably, Rebecca Yarro’s. More romantasy based is Lark Taylor and Sheena Jolie. …. And then there’s a lot in the genre I’ve started and bailed out of
