Ah yes, as opposed to the <famously> fun-loving laid back right wing. That's why they've got all the best comedians and festivals.

Yeah, my objection to the above is that the relevant boundaries are more around the mid-10s

Below 5: Very cold
5-15: Cold, likely need a big coat
15-25: Perfect temperature, jacket at most
25-35: Hot, shorts and short sleeves
Above 35: Well now you are just being silly

Having lived in both, I am in the odd situation that I can judge the UK temperature in Celsius and the US weather in Fahrenheit but am unable to make any conceptual connection between the two

As elves get older, their amount of family baggage increases, and so the length of their Christmas / Thanksgiving / Saturnalia dinners increases (to accommodate the amount of mutual recrimination). Elven elders spend all their time locked in a continuous, tense, passive-aggressive ritual feast.

Yes one is the US and one is the UK and yes correlation is not causation but there's a pretty clear causal hypothesis raised by these two data points

Obelix [Human Fighter]

Genial and laid back. Undefeatable in combat, immune to spells. Automatically deals 2d10 temporary damage each round; restores once fighting is concluded. Vulnerable to flirtation, public speaking and food-based bribery. Greatest desire - to taste a Potion of Strength.

Some drunk woman in her 60s had wedged herself in the doorway of Tesco in the gay village in Birmingham like a cat refusing to get in a box. All four points locked in to stop her husband removing her. In the end a woman off the street lured her out by going β€œcome on bab, we’ll get you some shots”

Yeah, the summary feels... tangential. I do have some sympathy with the idea that calling all disordered / compulsive / problematic behaviours "addictions" may be counter-productive. However, I don't see how that distinction is relevant to the question of platform culpability in mental health harms.

FWIW, as a primary school kid (well before any sense of my own sexuality), I figured out the conceptual possibility of gay people, confirmed their actual existence with an adult, and was quite pleased with the symmetry it gave to the gender dyad
