Gaza PhD student and family evacuated to UK after Foreign Office U-turn Manar al-Houbi’s family had been denied entry despite a scholarship covering their living costs, but other students remain stranded

So pleased that Manar and her lovely family have been able to travel from Gaza to Scotland and @UofGlasgow at last. May it be a moment of hope for all the people of the region.

Gaza PhD student β€˜heartbroken’ as family blocked from entering the UK Manar al-Houbi’s husband and children refused entry despite her winning a scholarship to cover tuition fees, living costs and housing for them all

This is very disappointing. The FCDO should intervene immediately and arrange for the family to travel.

"There is no excuse for what’s happening in Gaza.

This tragedy must end now, immediately and decisively.

Every political hesitation, every attempt at justification of the horrors being committed under international watch, will forever be judged as a collective failure to preserve humanity in war.”

Gaza | The scale of human suffering and the stripping of human dignity have long exceeded every acceptable standard, both legal and moral.

This tragedy must end now.
