Sparkling Kat

After shooting with Kat in my studio I rewound the film and took pictures of the lake on a sunny day. Some frames are in focus and some out of focus of the surface reflecting sunlight.

haha, good to get into the seasonal festivities - but only just a little, must not overdo it 😜. I alway like the effect of this gold leaf material on the body. What is used to get it to stick? Does it have a glue backing? Or does it just stick naturally? Or?

I discovered this Revolog film through another photographer I did a film swap with last year. He had posted some other work using it and I knew I'd have to try it and especially with Nella.

Nella is moving away from Toronto so this is probably the last time I'll get to work with her. This makes me sad. I have always enjoyed creating with her.

I love to explore various styles of lighting but especially light that creates these almost abstract like images.

I hear you! There are a couple of people I won’t work with anymore for this reason. Sad. 😢

I wanted to work with her before she moved away but we never seemed to be able to make it work. Oh well 🫣

I don't know if it's all that tacky, actually. It is a real frustration but fortunately (at least in my case) not a frequent issue. 😒

100%. I have run into this very issue as well. Thankfully only a couple of times.

Another film swap project. This time I was swapping with myself 😜. I had a really fun afternoon with Carmen a few months ago. A few weeks later I rewound the film and did this exposure in my garden. The overlap is rarely perfect but often it feels good.

Kayla and I had a great afternoon last month playing around with a few film project ideas of mine. In this case after we shot this roll of film, I rewound it and shot a series of second exposures in a nearby ravine. This is an out of focus view of the river's sparkly water.

A foggy morning at the lake. I should try to get out so early in the morning more often.

Indeed, they make me uncomfortable although I've read that is what art should do. It was her idea, this is good. They are very effective.
