Probably because I am not getting into political debates on pages where that is not the topic. My political opinions do not belong here, neither do anyone else's. Not saying they can't have them or if they are right or wrong, just that there is a time and place for them. This isn't the place.

I have a very good knowledge of history; I also know that the golden age of comics is nowhere near current issues. If you want to discuss current issues, that's fine, there are pages for that. This is about comics from the 1930's to the mid 50's. Which is nowhere near 2025.

I’m replying to multiple people who all seem to think I should shut up while also advocating for free speech. This is practically dripping with irony. I guess it’s only free speech if you say things that others agree with.

It’s a forum that has a specified topic. I suggested that we keep to the topic. That was it. Yet here you all are ranting and raving.

Amazingly you haven’t listened to any of them. Like I said, you have absolutely no idea what my political beliefs and opinions are because this isn’t the place for them.

And all of them have been dead for decades. There are incalculable number of places, pages, sites or whatever to go to where that is exactly the topic. That’s where it belongs.

The title said to was about golden age comics. I didn’t see where it said anything about politics.

There’s a time and place for everything. If the conversation is about cars and someone comes in and starts talking about something else that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, that is inappropriate behavior.

I have read them but the politics of 1940 is now history. It’s not a discussion on current political issues.

If you want to discuss the history of golden age comics that’s cool, what was political in 1940 is history now.

If you went to a restaurant that said it catered only to vegetarians, would you demand a steak? No you probably wouldn’t. So why on a page dedicated to golden age comics is it appropriate to bring up politics? Sometimes we just want a place to go where we don’t have to deal with the bullshit.

I had thought it was a place for people who love golden age comics, not a political thing. There are lots of places to go for policy and politics, I had hoped this wasn’t that place.

And with that, it has become click bait.
