This analogous association of the major prophets with the elements is almost certainly a fantasy but still fun to think about:
Isaiah - Prophet of Fire
Jeremiah - Prophet of Water
Daniel - Prophet of Earth
Ezekiel - Prophet of Wind
Jesus - Prophet of the Quintessence (The 5th Element)
Jesus was killed by the unjust judgment of sinners, but raised by the just judgment of God.
03.11.2025 02:14 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sin is a greater problem than the punishment it incurs.
If God never lifted a finger to punish sin, sin itself would still destroy sinners.
God is always the primary offended party by sin, but we are the primary damaged party. The offense is to the damage of the offender.
It is always wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being.
All people, religious or secular, should agree with this.
Authoritarianism is a double edged sword.
On the one hand, authoritarianism is necessary to get anything done. Someone has to make a decision and act on what they believe to be true and good.
On the other hand, authoritarianism does not determine what is true or good.
All sin harm.
Not all harm is sin, but all sin is a type of harm.
Sin is self destruction.
Even if God never punishes it.
This is not โtherapeuticโ language.
Christians have made an error in this area.
Though Jesusโ death was an injustice, and though it was an act of murder, it is vital to recognize that Jesusโ death was of his own self-giving. Jesusโ life was not taken from him against his will. Jesusโ death was predestined by Father, Son, and Spirit as one

01.11.2025 15:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Athanasius is amazing. But I think the way he sets up the "Divine Dilemma" is not quite biblical, and led to a penal substitution framework in later generations. I discuss here:

Also, this is great on Athanasius:

The problem: we were dead in sin
The solution: we were raised in Christ
