11 - Moonraker. Bond in space just rubbish. Well directed, but there’s so many silly moments. Laser guns, hovercraft gondoliers even Jaws getting a girl and a redemption arc (with that god awful music). It wasn’t boring I suppose. Stars Wars really did have an effect. 2/10

Joy to the World has one as well. Which is the same as the single release

I’m taking this as official confirmation CAF was meant to be in The Reality War, but it was cut. The extra was intended for Episode 8 but got shifted to 6 after the change, but the old title remained by mistake.

This is interesting. On Disc 4 (The Story and Interstellar discs) there’s a feature called Reality War Companion Catch-up. It’s interview with Varada and Carole Ann that was posted on YouTube. But it’s telling it was originally made for The Reality War.

The commentary line-up for The Robot Revolution is Varada Sethu (Belinda), Russell T Davies (Writer) and Vicki Delow (Producer).

With thanks to Matt Dennis.

Yes. I took the gamble it was the wrong cover and it was.

Just arrived and it’s the hardback versions of the Terrance Dicks book rather than the paperback depicted on on the Zavvi website.

£10 for the three books + £2 postage. An absolute bargain.

The paperback of just 1 Dicks volume alone cost £13 on Amazon!!!!

Richard Bignell has provided an updated on Gallifrey Base. The Android Invasion sound rushes are on there. DW Stories - Tom Baker isn't (it's on S18).

Studio Clocks and The Time Capsule interview with Tom are also on this release, but not mentioned in the magazine.

There appears to be rights issues with the Oh Mummy and the Scaroth sketches on Season 17 preventing their inclusion. Probably worth hanging on to your Pyramids of Mars DVD.

The sound rushes for Android and the two duplicated features are I assume an error in this DWM issue.

It can’t be 66 because those Dalek props were heavy modified for The Chase.

NEW PHOTOS!!!! - Taken by The Surrey Herald around 1964/65 - Carole Ann Ford (Susan) is accompanied by some Daleks not long after The Dalek Invasion of Earth was filmed to Woking for a publicity visit. There's about 17 photos from this visit. More in the reply.

10 - The Spy Who Loved Me. Great film. So many Who actors which was a nice supporting. Loved Jaws as a kid and still do. Not sure I believe Strongberg’s motives and I don’t believe Anya would forgive Bond just like that. Some of the visuals in Egypt looked stunning. 7/10

There was a list of returns from Australia that year and Paul Vanezis said it’s not one of those.

Whilst what is significant is open to interpretation, we also know that both episodes weren’t part of the 1975 returns.

Taking the ‘75 list and removing Marco Polo, MTTU, Master Plan, Massacre and The Savages, it leaves you with:

Reign of Terror
The Crusade
Galaxy 4
Toymaker

Interesting tidbit on the latest Radio Free Skaro episode. Apparently the missing episodes held in a private collection (bigger fish to fry) that Paul Vanezis knows the identity of, that “They are not too significant”.

It might not sound like much but we can rule episodes out.

9 - The Man with the Golden Gun. Strange film. Entertaining enough. Christopher Lee is amazing! Roger Moore seems at ease with the role. The American cop turning up from L&LD was just ridiculous and didn’t work and too long on the chase sequences. 6.5/10

Yes to Never Say Never

8) Live and Let Die - That’s a huge tonal shift. The amount of comedy has incredible dramatically. Far fetched, but hugely enjoyable. I prefer Connery and Lazenby, but Moore does seem more comfortable in the role. Some great stunts and smart ideas. And what a song! 8/10

02.08.2025 15:40 — 👍 8    🔁 1    💬 2    📌 0

7) Diamonds are Forever - Strange to have Connery back. They should have just moved on. Bizarre in so many places. The least convincing henchmen in any film. Still bonus point for Zarroff. I laughed when she fired the gun and fell in the water. Entertaining enough. 3.5/10

25.07.2025 15:34 — 👍 4    🔁 1    💬 3    📌 0

6) OHMSS - Great film. Lazenby is instantly Bond. Shame he didn’t continue. They went to great lengths to tell the audience it was the same character. Great visuals, amazing score. Interesting plot. Rigg is amazing! Also a good amount of Who Alumni. 9/10
