I don't think Flamingo Land has gone away yet. The owner donated £162,500 to the Tories before switching his alliance to Reform. I would not be surprised if he called in favours in the event of a Reform govt.

I very seriously doubt any Labour MPs are "shocked" by Mandelson, as some are claiming.
If, back in the 90s, media people knew what he was about, (but were not free to discuss it after Hutton ruling), then I'm sure his own party knew more.

Well, yes, who actually decides what "news" the public get to see has always been a battlefront.

Many journalists will have a vested interest. Mandelson was instrumental in the BBC becoming neutered/a govt mouthpiece back in 2003. This had a knock on effect on investigative journalism as a whole. People have lived in fear of Mandelson for years. Some see this as "payback time".

Peter Mandelson's career has been subterfuge and personal gain. Forced to resign in 1998, forced to resign in 2001, expenses scandals, using influences for associates, pension controversy, yacht cruises with controversial oligarchs, and THEN someone gave him a peerage. Corruption personified.

One thing Offord did say today I agree with; Scotland's future is either going to be under Reform or SNP.

I truly am at a loss for words.

We ate kidneys once a week, I don't miss that 🤢 as well as liver, marrow bone soup, skirlie, and the infamous "potted heid". I used to love a bit of beef tongue and even beef tail, though. All the cheapest butcher meat you can get, but I wasn't aware, it was just normal.
