SNP candidate steps down amid investigation into benefit claim Sally Donald is reportedly facing a probe by Social Security ScotlandΒ regardingΒ alleged fraud

I guess Sally Donald will always be the "gravy bus girl".

I'm not convinced putting her forward as a candidate was a wise move, even before this current issue.

Scottish Government rejects Flamingo Land plans for Loch Lomond The long-running saga has seen the controversial proposals scrapped and revived

I don't think Flamingo Land has gone away yet. The owner donated Β£162,500 to the Tories before switching his alliance to Reform. I would not be surprised if he called in favours in the event of a Reform govt.

Keir Starmer Lives To Fight Another Day After Anas Sarwar Ambush Backfires The Scottish Labour leader's call for him to quit has ironically strengthened the prime minister.

Anas Sarwar's anti-Midas touch?

I very seriously doubt any Labour MPs are "shocked" by Mandelson, as some are claiming.
If, back in the 90s, media people knew what he was about, (but were not free to discuss it after Hutton ruling), then I'm sure his own party knew more.

Well, yes, who actually decides what "news" the public get to see has always been a battlefront.

Many journalists will have a vested interest. Mandelson was instrumental in the BBC becoming neutered/a govt mouthpiece back in 2003. This had a knock on effect on investigative journalism as a whole. People have lived in fear of Mandelson for years. Some see this as "payback time".

Peter Mandelson's career has been subterfuge and personal gain. Forced to resign in 1998, forced to resign in 2001, expenses scandals, using influences for associates, pension controversy, yacht cruises with controversial oligarchs, and THEN someone gave him a peerage. Corruption personified.

Malcolm Offord, leader of Reform in Scotland, says we should be "rolling out the red carpet for Donald Trump".
I don't think Trump has any love for Scotland, but neither do Reform.
One thing Offord did say today I agree with; Scotland's future is either going to be under Reform or SNP.

I initially thought it was an AI spoof too.
But, I should not be surprised that Labour can offend Scottish people while attempting to patronise Scottish people, that's pretty much their track record.

The only thing correct about that photo is that Starmer is completely out of focus.

All the evidence seems to suggest Trump's "Board of Peace" is designed to push the UN off the table with an authoritarian group who will have Trump as Chairman for life.
Membership of the "Board of Peace" genuinely costs 1 Billion dollars.

Blair has been appointed by Trump as chairman of his "Board of Peace".
The Iraq war led to 600,000 deaths (Lancet study) or over 1 million deaths (ORB) depending on statistical source.
The "weapons of mass destruction" did not exist. Destabilising Iraq led to the rise of Isis.
"Board of Peace".

When I was a young stripling, I was with a friend who decided to smuggle LSD in the Glastonbury festival by hiding it in his socks. (It was in the Hawkwind/Pink Fairies/Gong era).
To cut a long story short, it's surprising what your body can absorb through the soles of your feet.

The strategic reserve age limit is to be raised to 65 next year, if passed in Westminster. This means if you are ex-services, you could be called up to serve again, in the event of "warlike preparations", up until that age.

The new UKIP logo has not been approved by the electoral commission yet, but, for those of you who haven't seen it, here it is.
It's a tad different from the purple and yellow Β£ sign they used previously. Draw your own conclusions. I certainly have.

We ate kidneys once a week, I don't miss that 🀒 as well as liver, marrow bone soup, skirlie, and the infamous "potted heid". I used to love a bit of beef tongue and even beef tail, though. All the cheapest butcher meat you can get, but I wasn't aware, it was just normal.

I still love stovies and my kids used to enjoy the stovies I made for them growing up. At least when you're making stovies, you know what's going into it. Chlorinated chicken has too many stories attached about male Americans growing boobs due to high hormone content for me πŸ˜‚

Greg Dyke tried to change all of that. He wanted true representation for Scotland and Wales as "nations", (his word choice), and introduce truly unbiased reporting, and look what happened to him. Best boss I ever had.

You don't need 5 years of social media history for Disneyland Tokyo either, (but there is a lot of queuing involved πŸ˜‚).
The food will be much better in both France and Japan than in the US.
Anyway, I am more of a Studio Ghibli kind of guy.

I already know someone, a musician, who was refused entry from the UK at LAX airport after having their social media scrutinised. They were held for 23 hours, with little food or water, and had to surrender phones/pins/passwords. They are 80 years old.

Alan Cochrane is anti-independence, anti-SNP, anti-Labour, anti-Greens, anti-Lib Dems, anti-Gaelic, anti-Scots, anti-land reform, anti-devolution. Just in case you think the guy is composed entirely of negativity, in recent times he wrote an article saying Kemi Badenoch should be given a chance.
