The smite community should start a mutual aid fund for past and current devs so they aren't beholden to bad leadership and they can pay their bills.
Or, (probably unlikely bc we aren't that big) we get a bunch of money together so the workers can buy out TitanForge games lol.

It's estimated that around $50 billion dollars are stolen from employees each year in the US due to wage theft.

I feel so defeated. I was just starting to get my hype back for smite 2 and then all this bs happens.
I saw this tweet and it really makes me hope that someone sues HiRez. It's illegal to tell your employees they can't discuss wages. I hope one of the employees documented this.

Asked to see a few posts via my cousin who has a Twitter account and this one honestly brought me to tears. Having personally met Dandy at SWC, he was the energy that I relate SMITE with. It's like Ena all over again with all these fantastic people being laid off.

Hi-Rez let go of so many insanely talented people today in their latest set of layoffs reducing their teams to the smallest it has probably ever been in their modern times.
Only SMITE 2 exists now for them.
The workers there deserve better and those they laid off.

I wish America didn't gut unions.
A lot of tech workers were told they needed unions because they had such good benefits as software devs. Fast forward a few years and we realize exactly why we need unions. It's unfair that CEOs can make the mistakes and the employees pay for it.

In any other company, if leadership has made this many mistakes in such a short period of time, including 2 rounds of layoffs in 4 months, the leadership would HOPEFULLY be restructured.
But people in charge never like to take accountability. It always falls on the workers.

I feel so bad for the workers who put in so much effort these past few months. The game went from almost unplayable to amazing I like 5 months time. And then they fired half the staff! These people made smite what it is. It's so heartbreaking. This is my fav game. I don't want it to go out like this

The smite 2 workers should stage a coup, overthrow leadership and turn the company into a co-op. They're making such a good game and the higher ups are doing everything in their power to make sure the game doesn't succeed

They're shutting down the Switch Port of Smite!
