We’re both night owls and were steeped in the same milieu as kids. We had a lot to talk about. So grateful I got to spend a little time with him.

I got to meet and show him some of my work a couple years ago. I was worried he was going to think that I was just a Kirkland Brand version of him but he genuinely liked my work. Meant a lot to me. He and I both grew up in Northeast Ohio and are almost the same age. Continued 👇🏻

Pair images. Put them away and forget they exist for a week or two. Look them over again and see your obvious failings as an artist and human being. Pair again. Usually results in improvement. If not, repeat steps.

For the love of god please do something about Musk eating away the civil services from the inside out. This should be congress’s number one priority. All other concerns rescinded. Our nation is on the brink!

David Lynch was a major influence on me, especially my night work. I’m always gunning for a cinematic feel, suffused with atmosphere and maybe an understated malevolence. Like Mr. Lynch, this phone booth is gone now. I’m grateful I was able to photograph it, and grateful for Lynch’s singular vision
