Having an oft-injured TE who creates mismatches as a pass catcher and schematic limitations as a blocker, seems like a couple good reasons to question picking up the 5th year option

Dalton Kincaid has been very effective in the Bills offense, and important to it, when healthy. The problem is he’s been banged up in ways that have either kept him out or significantly hindered him when playing through. Not to mention it’s very hard to regularly use him as an in-line TE

β€œBut what I and our team learned through this process was Joe’s vision for how he would run an entire football team. And specifically, his thoughts on how our defense would play under Joe if he was given this job. He wants a defense that attacks opposing QBs & play callers, pre snap, & post snap…

Brandon Beane speaking on what Joe Brady wants in a defense in his opening here is very telling

KC Concepcion (7) to the field side avoiding the apex defender in his stem, finding a hole in the zone, and making some defenders miss to get some YAC

I still don’t think it’s ideal for him because he’s not a bendy guy or big get off/juice guy. But having a runway could help him a bit

My response about the fit was more in regard to the defense as a whole. There’s more sameness with McD’s defense & Schwartz, than there is with McD’s & Leonhard

Phase 1) Hire Jim Schwartz

Phase 2) Trade for Myles Garrett

Phase 3) Profit

β€œIt’s not Joe Brady in isolation. It’s the moves combined that feel a bit stale”

Spot on

Who the Bills appoint as OL coach was already important, and is arguably even more so now. Aaron Kromer’s departure is a significant one overall, but especially for the Bills run game, which he was an integral part of. And the run game is what Joe Brady’s offense hung its hat on

You gotta be a special kind of soulless piece of shit to support this and push for things like this. What about this is protecting or helping anyone? What are we doing as a country and people anymore?

28.01.2026 01:03 β€” πŸ‘ 93    πŸ” 17    πŸ’¬ 5    πŸ“Œ 0

For an odd front, kind of. Depending on the situation or sub package. It’s not a horrible place to start though. They’re gonna need a true Nose + athletic/flexible Edges. Ed and Sanders would be 4i guys, and Groot & Hoecht Edges on early downs. Walker is big but not a plugger, but can moonlight at πŸ‘ƒ

That’s legit one of my biggest questions! I know it may seem small to some but that’s a big change

There's no way you can keep funding a federal government who's primary mission is to inflict pain on the population. Every federal agency from McMahon at DoE to RFK shredding HHS and everything in between. Every day we let them stay open is more time we'll need to repair the damage they've done

One of the things that reportedly led to Joe Brady being hired as Bills head coach, was his capability to be the CEO of the football operation. Continuing to call plays and run the offense makes that a bit more challenging, and adds emphasis on the Bills nailing the DC, OC, and OL coach roles

And the more flexibility you have within your scheme, and the more ways you have to be that, throwing that jab or throwing some of those uppercuts on them, then they have to go make adjustments, and not just attack. Which is what they all want to do”

One of my favorite philosophies/beliefs from Jim Leonhard:

β€œI never wanna be a counter puncher. I always want us to have things in our game plan that we can dictate the flow to an offense. You need these offenses to have to go over to the sideline and find an answer…
