Ed Davey, the leader of the U.K.’s Liberal Democrats, is calling on King Charles III to postpone his state visit to the U.S. amid President Trump’s war in Iran.

Patriotic lectures from someone who makes their money talking down this country hit different when they are delivered from abroad.

The US is widely reported to have hit the Qeshm desalination plant. The response from Iran suggests they may now use the precedent to justify attacks on Gulf plants. Attacking critical civilian infrastructure is a war crime. The Govt must seek an urgent explanation from the US.

The last thing the UK needs just now is Tony Blair’s advice on whether to trust a US President about a Middle East war. We know how that White House movie ended.

No surprise to see Trump totally out of touch with the impact his reckless war will have on UK households. But he isn’t seeking election here. Badenoch and Farage should hang their heads in shame for their boot-licking unconditional support for Trump’s unlimited war.

Why is Reed pretending that the government don't instruct Charles where to go?
Why is Badenoch pretending it's not political? It clearly is a diplomatic and political trip, surely she'd agree?
Otherwise it's basically a taxpayer funded weekend away.

Last week I asked Keir Starmer for a guarantee that families would not be hit with a £500 rise in energy bills because of Trump’s illegal war.

Still no sign of a clear answer from the PM.

We are poised to take constituencies off the SNP right across Scotland.

In seats right across the Highlands, in Argyll and Bute, Strathkelvin and Bearsden and Edinburgh Northern, it is only the Liberal Democrats who can beat the SNP.
