i was watching videos of tea kettles being exploded (don't ask), and i got to this one, and i was mesmerized by whatever the fuck happened here. bro either knocked somebody off a smash bros arena or created a dark fountain using their kettle

also for visuals and sound, the reload would be using one of those brushes that are used to stuff the gunpowder in. Firing creates a bunch of campfire smoke (or firework particles if you loaded a firework star instead of gunpoweder). Bullet makes a sound on impact and ricochet

the benefit being that it shoots an accurate hitscan shot.
It would also have unique enchantments, but I've only come up with two. One that makes the bullet ricochet off block faces, and another one that makes it so when a mob is hit theres an AoE splash with shrapnel particles

helpful advice! I will say I don't really like the 2d texture editor, but doing it in an external program is prone to cause issues...

the idea for this musket was actually an MC mod, it would be a weapon that uses gunpowder as ammo and charges much longer than the other ranged weapons

Funny thing- I did a run of terraria where I only used weapons I hadn't used/oned that arent super popular in community, followed by a run where I collected every weapon (and used ones i hadnt used in underused run)
