he just does horror-lite superheroes now, sometimes a neat fantasy creature. the pale man is his most memorable monster imo cuz it's freaky and malevolent. i think that might be the last time he committed to making a monster truly monstrous lol

i didn't care for GDT's Frankenstein. the James Whale ones were great tho. Junji Ito's manga adaptation is good too. i should read the original again

i never knew about that aspect. too bad they erased it. i wanted to see 2010, now i'm curious to read the books too

i liked the polyamory in the background of Rama (the captain has two wives on different worlds, and two crewmen are married to the same woman), made out to be social development borne from living in big solar societies. then the book also ends with an off screen orgy lol
