It’s incredibly frustrating when leadership seems to dismiss science, especially when lives are at stake. When those at the top surround themselves with people who reinforce their own disbelief or denial, it creates an echo chamber that blocks out facts, evidence, and expert warnings. Take care.

Honestly, I think there should be a system where any facility responsible for minors, especially near known flood zones is required to follow flood safety protocols and install essential monitoring equipment. Wow, that’s such a tragic situation and you're absolutely right about the warnings, but it seems like too many people in key positions either downplayed them or didn’t act fast enough. The engineers when experts raise red flags and get brushed off, that’s not just poor judgment, that’s negligence.

I just want to be clear about one of my posts. I'm not happy that kids have died in the Texas floods. It's very tragic! At the same time, I can see this happening over and over in the near future. Why, the current president thought it was a good idea to allow DOGE to eliminate FEMA and NWS workers.
