Actually the tumeric post is so funny because one of my own mother's actual pet peeves is people saying it like that. It's spelt turmeric. And whenever anyone doesn't say that first R on tv they're dead to her. It's like watching my dad (from Seattle) when people don't call it Pike Place Market
