-all day looking for that specific cable. My favorite Bluetooth speaker won't accept a newer USB-C cable wth faster charging OR an older USB-C cable with slower charging and it makes me want to tear my hair out!

I hate USB-C, it isn't a unified cable solution, it's just the same obtuse horseshit but every cable is unlabeled. Is it a data cable? 5a? 10a? 45a? No way to know! I have several Bluetooth devices I love but never use bc they will only accept one specific kind of cable and I don't want to spend-

And then it's done! One cart full of odds and ends and a box full of all the important bits

After that it gets a bit hectic. Much like any other cargo hold, we stuff the gaps with all the odd bits- decor, cushions, lights, anything small and necessary. This helps minimize shifting in transit!

After that, the display boxes are loaded in, starboard side, under where I intend to install a tool and supply drawer this spring. As with most things in this cart and the accompanying displays, this is intentional, so that everything had a place for transport.

"Where does it all go?" people always ask. Behold, a rare glimpse below deck as we pack up from Mythicon. The roof framing always goes in first, through the port and starboard access hatches.

Worn sea glass finish achieved! Velvet soft to the touch, I don't think I'll do this finish often, but it feels impossibly good in the hand.

It sure was

After most session I look at the tool stand and go "oh that needs to go back where I got it from". It just makes it so much easier to keep my tools organized. All of this makes it easier to just sit down and work w/o having to spend 45 minutes tidying to find stuff first.

A knock-on effect of everything having a place is that when something is NOT in its place, I can see it is missing, and that overrides the ADHD habit of setting things down instead of putting them away. The wax carving tools in particular find their way home a lot more now that they have a place.

I'm really glad everyone likes the stuff we've been making and posting! We've been doing a lot of gig work to make ends meet so we haven't had a lot of time for the work we love, but that will change as the spring comes, hopefully, and I'm glad you're all along for the ride 💜

Bezels soldered!

These beetles were originally sculpted and sold as earrings, but I realize now they are much prettier as rings! I might revisit the sculpts before Anthrocon.

It's he!? He's my wife's rock tumbler officially; I got her it for her birthday a couple years back. But as it turns out, the same process you use to tumble rocks can be used for glass, just on a much shorter timescale, and with added cushion media :)

This will SIGNIFICANTLY ease my labor on glass pieces like this. Previously I was manually polishing with a rotary wet lap, but this is entirely hands off and should result in much more consistent finish levels once times are dialed in
