I still think it's not really helpful. The only time I use it I am aware I'm using a "im too lazy to look it up right now so Ill just have to google it again next time"-token, and I actually know I should be figuring it out myself. For code generation, I just stopped trying.

This is a pretty good example of what @sasajuric.bsky.social talks about in www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVHp.... I could use some random Jeff Bezos Money Making Machine Service, but this is a few modules within my application. I don't have to maintain anything extra, or run an extra service.

If I have to be annoyed by something, it's second-granularity jobs. But that's fixed quite easily with a recursive job.

Did you edit your db in production even though everyone says you shouldn't? What do they now. Now you're restoring backups? Well fine, the jobs are just there in your backup. Don't freakin' worry about it. Just query your prod db like an animal.

And I might be making some wrong assumptions here, but it works just perfectly fine with horizontally scaled web services. Quantum got messed up from time to time, and I lost confidence. Using Oban, set uniqueness properly, and fire away.
