I know there are ways to bypass this moronic check (or use Jedi), but, the fact that this exists in the first place is just bizarre to me... like, seriously? License checks in a CODE EDITOR EXTENSION of all things? Who thought that's a good idea? Are they braindead or just retarded?

Just learned that the Pylance LSP extension has a LICENSE CHECK that verifies whether it's running on "legitimate VSCode" or not. Our college is using VS Codium behind an air-gapped LAN for quite obvious reasons, so just getting a VSIX over here was hard, and now this! >:( Fuck Microsoft!
