For those playing along at home - delighted to report that, after last night, Robert Skinner has indeed got his razzle dazzle back. Thanks to all the big-hearted folks who came together to send love (and a few bucks) towards the people's champ.

Also govt:
Labor sat on the “jobs for mates” review for 2 years; they wrecked the NACC; they haven’t introduced whistleblower protection laws despite promises; they’re trying to crater FOI laws; the ANAO missed half its targets bc budget cuts… & they have the nerve to talk about the abuse of transparency laws.

06.12.2025 00:49 — 👍 51 🔁 14 💬 1 📌 0Honestly fuck these people. Spend their lives finding ever-trickier ways to keep the public in the dark, then complain about the smallest accountability measures. Giving the public basic information is an abuse of laws??

Corrupt processes yield corrupt results. Inevitable.
05.12.2025 21:37 — 👍 109 🔁 62 💬 10 📌 6I understand that Australia once had a national anti-corruption body that might have been able to deal with this.
But they got too preoccupied with being investigated themselves for the Commissioner's questionable behaviour. #Nauru #auspol
Australia is paying $750m to a US prison company and $2.5bn in a secret deal to Nauru, yet the hundred or so asylum seekers in Nauru are starving.
It’s called corruption, and someone in authority should look into it.
Tasmania’s auditor-general went as far as to say it was insolvent, so those bailouts will be necessary for years to come

03.12.2025 21:41 — 👍 26 🔁 15 💬 1 📌 0Utterly ludicrous. The govt has now promised to cap its stadium spend at $875m, which is half a billion more than the cap it promised at the election. Watch it blow out every few months from now on…
And where are they going to reduce their other borrowings from? TT-Line??
In a time when governments need to learn, they continually demonstrate that they have learned exactly nothing. Government is about being the custodian of the well-being of 26 million people - this is not custodianship, it's incompetence bordering on negligence.

“Maybe we’re onto something.”
“How can we tell? We’ve only done this 187,623 times with the same success every single time. Could be a fluke.”
Nothing says transparency like shutting down all dissenting voices so you can wreck FOI laws

Music, fun and party guaranteed. Details below.
Come along!
"Labor won’t take up many of the [Briggs] recommendations, instead opting for a major overhaul of a government-wide framework for ensuring appropriate appointments."
02.12.2025 00:09 — 👍 19 🔁 6 💬 1 📌 0Sums thing up really.
To top things off, perhaps they could forward the report to the NACC? 😂
"In some portfolios as many as half of the appointments had been made directly by ministers without a formal process" and “all too often these appointments have looked like forms of patronage and nepotism"
TOR prevented looking at current/Labor appointments...
Hmm why they want to keep this quiet?
The Albanese govt sat on this report for TWO YEARS, and then only released it after parliament finished for the year.
The report was originally commissioned “to enhance integrity and trust in government institutions” lol
Haha Jesus Christ
Trump administration: It was admiral bradley that committed the war crimes. That’s “bradley” with an “e”.
