I don’t love that are new players (Robinson, LeVert) can’t seem to get buckets.

I feel bad for Ivey and the Pistons. But this is just what it is.

And even worse this delays a lot of questions we need answers to. Not to mention a drop in scoring, playmaking, and shooting.

I don’t think Ivey is injury prone necessarily. Must be due to rehab and recovery that his other stronger leg suffered something related to over reliance.

That being said, Pistons necessarily need a 2 next to Cade. If not Ivey…

I doubt that would or could be Booker… could it be RJ Barrett.

This is horrible news. I am glad they caught it. But I don’t understand how this happened if he was 100%.

I am worried too many still don’t understand or care. Especially young men.

With roughly 38% of earth’s gravity, I am sure Killian will be right at home playing for the martians.

Agreed. As long as he isn’t totally offensively limited like Killian. Can facilitate in this league if you cant make your own buckets.

I believe Amen is a better scorer at the rim and can do a bit more off the dribble. That being said, if you can score, you got to draw fouls.

I think it really depends on whether it matters more than Ausar has more assists or more dunks. I feel like there is a bit of a trade off based on where he is going to be in the offense flow.

Ben Wallace was a center. Ausar isn’t.

Conversely, who has Cade played against so far? I put very little stock in stats by all-nba players in preseason.

I care about the other guys. JI is healthy, but rusty.

Pistons have genuine depth issues compared to other playoff locks in the East.

I would prefer more vets and guys like Green over Klintman, Sasser, Lanier and them at the moment.

The free throw rate is bad. And it is a problem because I don’t think it is feasible for a player to become a better scorer and playmaker, and shoot roughly 60% from line.

Not in this current league.

The guys play hard, no questions about that. I love it.

But there will clearly be a reset adjustment to start this year and that will make it difficult to gauge how the cast around Cade has improved over offseason.

I don’t know what I expected in the Pistons preseason.

So far I am not impressed by new additions to Pistons enough to feel comfortable with the replacement to the guys we lost in offseason. I know the vision, but I am not sure if it will come together in sync with winning early on.

Perhaps. I am mostly going off of the fact that this is the preseason so everyone ought to be using their minutes to showcase their game.

Ausar is playing more of a playmaker role and that is excellent. But I look at his FT form as well and just the shots he is willing to take… idk.

I love Ausar, but I am not sure he is ready to be a scorer just yet.

His FT isn’t good. And I doubt he is going to do any 3P attempts yet.
