Yeah Iโm a relative baby still in Schroders terms
Our U.K. equity PM, Sue Noffke told me sheโs on more than 60%!

I canโt believe Iโve spent nearly a quarter of my life at Schroders
The 6 Nations before I joined, Scotland lost every match and had a points difference of -200
I may not be a generational talent on the scale of Finn Russell but Iโd like to think weโve both made our mark ๐คฃ

Smart guys, you and @domw.bsky.social
Staples are the one thatโs just gone above IT. Not so boring after all
The other one is not energy or materials though (this is as at end Feb)
Yep. 2021 era 5yr fixed rate mortgages were incredibly cheap

Phase 2 of ACL prehab commences: Game Ready cold compression machine is a go go
Itโs so cold itโs hard to describe. Like an ice bath for my leg
Excuse the stuff everywhere, thatโs just life
Have to sit here for next 30 mins, canโt be arsed polishing up for social media. Like my posts in general
Kebab for lunch means youโre doing your bit to stop the old age benefit bill getting too crippling ๐คฃ

Although by the 2070s that would mean a huge % of the population would be higher rate tax payers?
Not saying it canโt/wont happen, Iโm just following the logic
Itโs a banging feeling. I love it. Huge endorphin rush when I come out the other side too
Virtually high five-ing myself, bobbing my head, and saying โyes, this if fking awesomeโ, sometimes to myself, sometimes out loud
Those moments are why I think Iโd keep working even if I could afford not to
I wasnโt following you over there, good nudge to do so!

I was the same. Mine was a Sunday-only round so I think I only got paid about ยฃ2.50 a week
Next job was in a clothes shop for ยฃ2.38/hour
Also worked as a kitchen porter/dishwasher for ยฃ1.50/hour! One week I worked 24 hours and got paid ยฃ36โฆ
Not everything was better back in the 90s ๐คฃ
Thatโs a shame

โMy kids donโt like paprika so I used oven chips insteadโ
Iโll try that next time I make chilli con carne
Incentives drive behaviours
Charlie Munger couldnโt have scripted it better
I can see it from my kidsโ perspective.
They just see me staring at the screen and accuse me of double standards
Me arguing that itโs important news Iโm reading doesnโt appease them (and also it increases the risk I go on places like Bluesky so they have a point)

Maybe thatโs about me being disciplined and avoiding the temptation to click on them but even seeing the headline and deciding whether itโs an article I want to read takes some of the pleasure out of reading a paper with fresh eyes

Do you do it in Edinburgh though? We used to get the Sunday times delivered when in London but they only did it in the m25
Another issue for physical is that lots of the weekend articles get released online before the weekend so I find Iโve seen lots of them before the print edition comes out
We tried to get a Sunday paper delivered
1. Hard to find anywhere that still does this
2. Would only deliver by 8.45. Do school kids still do this?! Lazy so and sos
3. Charged ยฃ2/week for delivery
Thought might send a signal to our kids about physical reading vs screens but resorted to the app
Train stations and airports for last minute snacks
But at kings x Iโd go to mini Waitrose instead so even then itโs losing out
My son likes to get the simpsons magazine before a long train journey but that must be a limited market
