I'm regularly disappointed by people whose work I've admired in the past linking up with unrepentant abusers & bigots. Happens a lot. Doesn't mean we just accept it.

What we *can* do is not give ground on transphobic bigotry. This guy seems to get a lot of work and also he is not down with that:

Monster Hunter Wilds: made partner name his Felyne 'Professor Jimothy Pubbins'. It exceeded the character limit so he's professor Jimothy P. But we all know his full name and address him thusly out of respect.

I think the joke I was trying to make is that getting either ear pierced is the 'bi-side' because... yeah... *cough* (someone from back of the audience quietly boos)

i'd like to update that the number is now 14 with some shiny new rejections, plus I moved house, plus I got my ear pierced (bi side) and I was SO BRAVE.

and also all this while having several part time jobs to afford living in London. I don't think this should be venerated, it should not be this hard to live, but it is a fact worth reminding myself of a lot. Especially when I'm like 'omg how come I'm so tired all the time??'

I think I just wanted to write this down and post it somewhere to remind myself-
1. It is okay to rest
2. even if i see no results from something, I've worked hard and I still think that counts for a lot
3. the industry is ruthless and thankless and taking breaks is not just nice it's IMPORTANT

I've applied for 10 things so far this year (inc. auditions/ full job applications and things like scratch nights/ new writing opportunities)
Everything I applied for took a considerable amount of time and effort.
I was successful 2/10 times so far (still waiting to hear back on a few)

every single day i have to remind myself this is meant to be a professional social media account.

If you ever catch me writing anything that couldn't be classed as 'gothic satire' then please hit me with you car.

People imagine picking up and finding *something better* is an easy solution. But how is that supposed to work, when all your time and energy goes to staying alive? You have almost nothing to set aside to actually fight your way out.
