I didn't read the actual book, just listened to people deep dive it on YouTube, so maybe I'm not the best person to re-write it. I also have no idea what the paying audience really wants from this book, and my ideas would primarily serve my own tastes.

But at least I have ideas!!!

If you're not familiar with this story, the tl;dr is booktok influencer makes thousands of dollars in pre-orders, releases underbaked book, makes excuses/refuses to acknowledge it's bad, finally agrees to re-write it, publishes a poetry book instead.

I am once again gripped by the thought of how I'd re-write The Age of Scorpius (since Milo Winters doesn't seem to want to do it). I just have so many ideas!

Not who you want to have your back #OC

I swear it used to be better. I had a Mac from 2007-2012 and didn’t remember finder giving me so much trouble. Got given a Mac for work in 2021 and it was so finicky!!!

This is especially important for Mac users, as I've found Finder ONLY retrieves a file if you have the EXACT file name. Windows File Explorer is way more lenient in finding files. Apple you really gotta fix Finder, it sucks!!!

This frustration of mine stems from old artist friends who saved drawings under keysmash file names. That drawing is gone. Consistent naming structure is the difference between file explorer finding what you want instantly and you searching through 1000+ files to find it yourself.

I'm a freak and I can remember, within an accuracy of 1-2 pages, the page number of any given page I'm looking for. Most people are not like this. Keeping your files organized will help you find them even if you're not sure what you're looking for!

This is boring advice but GIVE YOUR COMIC FILES CONSISTENT NAMING STRUCTURES! Keep them in well-organized folders! DON'T MERGE AND SAVE OVER YOUR WORK! You're gonna want this if you ever self-publish, even digitally!
