I discovered it through Lumineers, but I did listen to the original after hearing lumies version for the first time. I was familiar with the Talking Heads before, just not that specific song. I love life during wartime!
To each there own. The original is great, don't get me wrong, but for me, the Lumineers turned a great song into a masterpiece! It is my favorite song for many reasons but mainly the lyrics which I do have attribute to The Talking Heads.

My finally question to pose: when will enough be enough to put down the phones and pick up our own weapons and will we do it in time to actually save ourselves?
Was the TV show Black Mirror just another rich man's trick to desensitize the public from the horrors that were to come in 2025 and continue into 2026? Is everything just a smoke screen to keep us under their rule? It's hard not to question things these days.
The similarities are hard to unsee. The only difference I do see is a major one. In the episode, it was the preditor that faced the consequences, in our currently reality it is the victims and innocent people that are waking up in this nightmare daily.
In real life, we have masked men chasing men women and children alike, that have been put there to protect a bunch of powerful men, our president included, from facing the consequences of their own actions. Those actions being kidnapping, raping and killing young children.
As it turns out, her and her boyfriend had kidnapped, raped, and killed a young girl. Their punishment was to spend the rest of her life waking up in the same nightmare she created for her victim that day.
As the woman screams to bystanders for help, she finds the only aid she will receive will come in the form of phone recordings. The people around do not speak to her, do not interact with her, they simply record. We find out later in the episode the reason for this.
The connections between these images doesn't end there. Black Mirror’s “White Bear” focuses on a woman with amnesia who woke up unaware of anything going on around her. As she walks out into the world, she starts to be chased by mask men looking to kill her.
The top image is from the streets of Minneapolis, MN. It image shows masked men, carrying weapons, chasing citizens to harm them and people decide to pull out their phones and records what's happening, never helping the person being harmed. That is not the only similarity.
