But Ross Ewage caught onto something from the on-deck circle, and he laces a 2RBI double into the gap! Finnegan retires Bligh to end the top of the 5th, but the damage is done and the Rays lead 5-3!

I feel like I've seen this movie before...

Ovaltine with a single off of Sabor, then immediately steals second base. Can Petra maintain the tie?

Just kidding, IIIxX was on second last inning. This time it's Narvaez Jr. crossing the plate.

XxBlaise Bailey Finnegan IIIxX took a shot at the Rays last inning catching McTurdberg stealing. What can he do for them from inside the batter's box?

McTurdberg walks, and goes for a steal of second base! Finnegan IIIxX has a cannon for an arm though, and McTurdberg is out by a step! That's a huge out for Sabor and the Phillies here!

Lancer strikes out Morris, what an inning he has put together! The Phillies are headed back out to the field as we tip into the second half of the game.

What was initially an all-out offensive war has turned into a bit of a pitcher's duel. Will the bats find purchase again?

A groundout and a flyout, and Sabor posts the first clean half-inning of the game.

Lancer responds by retiring Dingerhitter and Montana, and the Phillies bats are down to their last out of the second inning!

There's a delay in the Rays dugout, Primero Ultimo heads down the tunnel and Mo Cheeks comes to the plate.

Sabor induces a weak fly out and there's one out in the top of the second!

Lancer strikes out Mr. Plow, and we're headed to the second inning.

Well, it won't be a shutout this time! The Phillies are right back in this thing on a two run homer by TheRedKnight! What a battle so far, and we're only in the bottom of the first!

The Phillies have their first baserunner of the day! Phil Coulson, Agent of W.A.L.K., earns a free pass and now stands on first base.

Lancer picks up where he left off by striking out DeAaron Taylor. Phil Coulson is appearing in his second Paper Cup, and now appears at the plate.

And now, as the Rays take the field, Alex Lancer is slapping the rosin bag and digging into the rubber.

The last time the Rays and Phillies faced each other was S8, G15.

The Rays won that game 2-0, on the back of a 2-hit, 1-walk CSGO. The pitcher?

Alex Lancer.

Since the Rays scored three runs that inning, here's a fun fact:

The Phillies have three players appearing in their third Paper Cup: Petra Sabor, Blaise Bailey Finnegan III, and Tasker Morris.

Morris becomes the first MLR player with three PC appearances for the same team.

A BIG out for Sabor here, as she induces a grounder to the hot corner and Returns is retired (say that one three times fast!)

The TRAYn keeps rolling, that's a double for Dermot Mulveiny and the jam is just getting stickier for Sabor.

Beans Returns is up next; will they return to home plate, return to the dugout, or will I have to return to this post a fourth time to get everyone's gender right? Stay tuned!

Catfish Champ is up to the plate, and Petra definitely got catfished on this one as Champ sends it over the center field wall! 3-0 Rays!

Does Hannibal Bligh have a nickname? If not, it should be "Hanni Three Bags" or something. That's an RBI triple for Bligh, 1-0 Rays!

I'm gonna skeet as though I was watching all of these plays happen in real time, for the benefit of those who read this later. Here we go:
