There is nothing that gets my red flag meter going quite like men saying things like "it was hard meeting women because I was interested in (insert nerdy thing here)" when I have distinct memories of certain kinds of men in nerdy thing specifically and repeatedly excluding me from nerdy thing.

Not really sure that's inevitable. If an alt-net remained the sort of place where corporations don't see the ROI on corporatizing it, it would have a chance on not turning into the sort of thing where every click is monetized.

If I were a young person currently trying to figure out antifascist action, I would focus on creating a food specific mutual aid project in my direct community. It would be a good way to connect with neighbors and to offer needed sustenance.
