At Preston Park for Brighton Pride in 1992, while I was appearing at the Festival. I’m wearing a white vest with a red ribbon and a Pride badge. I’m tanned and smiling, with sunglasses on my head.

A black and white shot of me at home yesterday. I’m wearing a vest and am quite muscular, especially in contrast with the image of me in 1992. I still have hair.

In 1992 I acted with the AIDS Positive Underground Theatre Company on the #BrightonFestivalFringe.
Back then there was no effective treatment for HIV.
I was diagnosed a few years later. I didn’t expect to live this long.
Tomorrow I return to Brighton in Rainbow Alphabet.
HIV changed. Tell everyone.

Me a week ago, a gym selfie. Not as handsome as the LA shot but not bad for 28 years later.

Today is the anniversary of my HIV diagnosis.
I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS.
I was told I had about 20 years to live - that was 27 years ago.
I take one pill a day which stops me from getting ill - it also means I can’t pass HIV on during sex.
HIV has changed, tell everyone.
