Mr Flimflam (Andrew)

Taken from the passenger window of a taxi. From the bottom, a hedge, behind which is a green field. The more fields and trees. Above this is a very thin strip of sea and then the tidal island of Lindisfarne (aka Holy Island). Then a sky full of dark and bright clouds, a patch of blue sky. At the centre was a little bit of rainbow from a shower of rain.

Looking north over harvested fields. On the horizon is the distinctive shape of Berwick Law. A cumulonimbus cloud above it is depositing a rainshower over the (hidden) town below. Above the cloud, the sky is blue.

A vertical panorama looking north in late afternoon. From the top, the sky is blue with a few clouds. On the horizon is an island called Fidra. Then blue sea to the shoreline. It's extremely calm. Finally, at the bottom, evidence of sand work by myriad children.

It feels like the last warm day of the summer. We took our little caravan 3 miles from home to Yellowcraig for a bit more outdoor life. The photo is tall and thin, so click on it to see.

Sunshine after the storm. The incoming tide leaves a stripe of foam on the beach from a heavy sea. A bright sun, low on the horizon, obscures the sea. The sky is blue after a day of strong winds and rain.

Looking North across a west-facing beach. A line of sea-foam is the product of heavy seas. The hill on the horizon is called Cairn Llidi.

Dry harbour - the tide was right out. From the bottom: I was standing on the wall, then broken stones and gravel. A yacht grounded, then the two sides of the valley. A glimpse of blue sky and grey clouds.

A vertical panorama of a shallow cave. The rock strata are nearly 90° to horizontal as a result of millions of years of #geology.

800 metres from our caravan, on the clifftop is an iron age hill Fort, called "Caer Aber Pwll". It's about a mile from where my wife's grand mother was born. Maybe some of her ancestors lived in the Fort (2000 years ago).

The sun is setting over the Atlantic Ocean. At the bottom is a field on a clifftop. Above that is the sea, then the run. At the top are dark clouds blown in by a south-westerly wind.

I'd love to arrange a "no kings" protest here in the UK. At least you guys had the opportunity to vote for your orange monarch. We had ours imposed on us by some mythical deity in the middle ages.

Matthew bottom is a sandy beach, above this is a tidal pond, with two children walking along the dam wall at the far side. Above this is the mouth of the Firth of Forth. The dark object is the Bass Rock, summer home to over 100,000 Gannets. There is a rain shower on the left hand side - angled from a westerly wind. Above that, the clouds and a small patch of #bluesky.
