I have enjoyed using my MacBook M4 max. I should not have chosen black as it is harder to find the usb ports when it is dark and smudges show up more.
The battery life is sensational, it is light, quiet. Screen is superb.

Back from Darwin. It is the wet season up there at the moment. Luckily for my wife and I we only got to see around 10 min of torrential rain whilst in a car driving back to Darwin on our last day. Otherwise we had great weather ! Because it is the wet season there are much fewer tourists so quiet!

Would hate to be unvaxed and catch covid. That compromises your immune system! The stats show that many people died needlessly because of their misunderstanding of immunology.

We use docker to package our web apps and backend services. We can generate apk and app bundles and run them locally , as well as iOS . We use Linux in the cloud to host production and staging dockers and office linux servers for dev and online tools (Jenkins, plane, harbor ..).

Linux is fantastic for production. It is enjoyable as an OS for me. However my company makes Apps and it is so convenient to run iOS , Android, and web locally. As well as Quarkus docker backends.

Agree. I just received my new MacBook M4 max. I have found that developers require more mem (I have 64GB) and 2T ssd. Xcode and friends are a pain to use off an external ssd.
I will add that the new thunderbolt interface is supposed to be fast.

Looks like another cool project starting in the new year. Very good news. I’ll get this latest project out there by Christmas. Lots of Crowtech products expected in 2025!!

I’m actually enjoying this piece of development work I’m currently doing. It involves using openid to permit secure login (and logout) for mobile apps. I’m getting it to handle automated testing better.

And playing with Postgres Geospacial !
