Pokémon is 30 this year, I will be too in just a few months! We've grown up together. This franchise has been with me my whole life, since I was a baby. I had so many plushies, toys. I watched the anime, and had the first movie on VHS.
Some of my earliest drawings when I got into art were Pokémon.
Pokémon Yellow was one my first games ever and a reason why I love the color so much. 💛

This series has helped me through some of my lowest moments, and it has also led me to meet and connect with so many people that I wouldn't have otherwise. I met some of my best friends because of it. When I was a kid, I didn't know just how much this series would impact me. 🥹

I also need to thank this series for bringing Cyrus into my life. I'm so glad I got to meet him and doing so changed everything for the better. Gen 4 and Sinnoh will always feel like home to me. I also celebrated 1300 days as his partner on Jan 1st, so this feels like a special year. 🌻

It's just wild to think about how it's been 30 years since everything began! Pokémon has always been a source of comfort for me, especially when I need it most.
To me, this is a new chapter and I look forward to whatever this series brings in the future. I hope to share that joy with everyone too.

I wanted to write something to celebrate Pokémon's 30th anniversary, as this is a really personal series to me 😭

I felt like he wouldnt like me realistically, so it was hard to imagine myself in that position and allow myself to be loved by him. Things have changed though and I'm happy they did! I met so many wonderful people because of him and he became so important to me 🥹
