The video from today’s shooting in Minnesota is horrific, enraging and emblematic of the lawlessness of ICE and this administration. We must all watch it, though — they want is to turn our heads and ignore it.

There is video circulating on social media of a group of ICE agents beating a man near 26th and Nicollet in south Minneapolis, then one of the ICE agents shoots the man while he's on the ground numerous times. A witness can be heard yelling that the victim is dead.

The Make It Mt. Pleasant Holiday Market is this Sunday (Dec. 14). It's scary in DC these days, but the good news is that people are pyst and want to buy holiday gifts from local artists, not billionaires. We'll have more than 70 makers, so lots to choose from!

Big ole pasta bowl will be on sale this Sunday at the Make It Mt Pleasant Holiday Market. DC forecast says any snow will be long gone before it starts so support local! We’ll have more than 80 vendors, all local makers.

While glazing is one of my favorite parts of pottery, the challenge of coloring clay and then turn into something unique is special too. These Agateware pieces (and more) will be on sale Sunday Dec 14 at the Mt Pleasant Holiday Market, my last of the year.

These hold about 3 ounces. I also have smaller ones about half the size but, this being DC, the bigger ones always sell first!

Espresso cups! As a tea drinker, I don’t understand the appeal of a cup that small. Give me a 14oz mug with some good Irish Breakfast.

Still, fun to figure out what glazes make a nice set. These will be at Heurich House tomorrow (Dec 4) and Mt Pleasant Holiday Market Dec 14.

One of the hardest things about leaving the great state of New Jersey is trying to learn how to pay more money to pump your own gas. After more than 20 years, I still haven't figured it out. Always fill up before leaving the state and married a man who makes sure there's gas in my car.

I’m not sure which makes me happier today — the bumper crop of sweet potatoes from my backyard “ DC farm” or the amazing blowout by the Dems, esp. in my home state of New Jersey!

Huzzah! Finally got the right clay body for these melted class coasters. I was having a high loss ratio with most of the stonewares I tried but Laguna’s Soldate 60, designed for raku firings, worked perfectly.

If there are big pieces or certain types of clay that I know are susceptible, I purposely go out so I can’t open the kiln until it’s less than 100 degrees.

When the kiln is about 300 degrees, I have my husband pull open the lid so I can take a snapshot really fast. Then I blow up and analyze the photo.

I’m super excited that my work will be available starting Nov 21 at the DC Maker’s Guild’s booth at the Downtown Holiday Market! One line I’ll be selling are agateware soap dispensers. Each is unique but I’m proud of all of them.
