If we had had enough runtime or episodes we wanted more time spent with Alastor and the other two Vees. The closest was that scene with Velvette, but I'm glad people took away the right thing from it! Haha Alastor would weirdly get along with them. Which would just piss Vox off more lol

It should go without saying this limitation has wider reaching implications and it is NOT the last time it's relevant, but I found this a much more interesting thing to explore. Lucifer has no reason to care about his kingdom, he cares about his family, and his hellborns and that's about it. lol

When approaching Lucifer I wanted to lean into the Fallen Angel side of him. He wasn't a bad guy, he was a dreamer who fell in love and defied an unjust system. He isn't a tyrannical evil ruler, he's a cosmic being trapped in what is considered his greatest mistake. He was beautiful and prideful!

I think Christian Borle is the MVP for this season. The combination of his acting and Vox's animation has me cackling pretty much every time he's on screen

I'm so endlessly proud of this fandom. This show, team, crew, cast, and I go through Hell (lol) CONSTANTLY and yet you still show up, you still love, you still support. Is it weird to write in a vacuum without having any idea what hits, what doesn’t, what works/doesnt, who resonates, ect. Yeah! But it’s also freeing to just have to commit to the story and choices and not have as much outside influence. It keeps it honest. And I have to trust this story I’m telling.

There are always things we can learn from feedback but at this point you won’t see any of that until/if/when we are on season FIVE. We give ourselves criticism, we work through it best we can. Animation takes so long, writing is done at the TOP. 👍

I didn’t set out to be a writer I fell into it! Ive learned SO MUCH. Each season is a new experience and chance to improve and personally I can just see the improvement each season between the two shows. I’m so proud of the writing team that I’ve grown alongside. They don’t get enough love 🥰

I love talking about writing. I could garble about it forever. The work that goes in is so much, and writing s4 nearly ended me so I like getting to yap to cope 👀💕

Fun fact: “I’ll fuckin’ spank you” was an improv from Keith 😂 I kept it because it killed me, but also because it felt like a natural grasp for a non threatening-threat. It’s an old school go-to scold. So I felt it worked in character!

My greatest dream is to someday be bi-lingual. My parents both are and I grew up with it as a constant all my life. It’s always the greatest joy to get to bring other languages and bi-lingual skill to my characters! I adored getting to do so with Niffty and Kimiko did such an amazing job!! ❤️

my favorite thing is someone predicting something- wrong or right. -and going "that's so bad, that's so boring, ect" my guy, we haven't even got there yet, just wait n' see what we do first, maybe? 😂 I do miss people letting stories at least be told before having opinions, can we go back to that?
